This project features Shroom-Spike, a stylized game-ready creature character designed with a unique cute-creepy aesthetic.
I envisioned Shroom-Spike as a minor enemy or a collectible NPC found in a vibrant, stylized platform or survival game. The character's form is intentionally round and inviting, which creates a striking contrast with its surface texture—a combination of deeply cracked, organic skin and high-gloss, reflective back spikes.
Technical Pipeline:
Modeling and UV Layout: Performed in Blender.
Texturing and Materials: Created using Substance 3D Painter. I focused on generating a compelling PBR material that effectively separates the matte, cracked skin from the smooth, wet-looking, shiny spikes.
Rendering: Final presentation renders were created in Blender Cycles/Eevee.
This model is optimized and ready for integration into modern game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
